The first thing you will notice while looking at the major seat of Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller is its particularly rich padding. Actually, the seat look very convenient and welcoming for your baby to sit in it.

The front wheel has a swivelling mechanism with a lock which means you can use the stroller with a pivoting front wheel or lock it in one position whenever you need it. Unlike many other strollers, Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller lets you lock the front wheel with a handle which means you will not have to make a stop and bend down to get it fixed. You can lock the wheels on the go which is super convenient. The same goes for unlocking the wheel. Believe me, this is a great feature since, depending on the surface, you might need different solutions.

One of the greatest features about this stroller is the fact it is equipped into an adjustable suspension. Although you will find a couple of stroller with a similar feature, all of them are pretty expensive. The suspension of Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller can be controlled with your foot. You will find wavy lines under each of the springs of the suspension. Stepping on them will loosen the suspension which will make it easier for you to use the stroller on rough terrains. The straight line goes for tight suspension. I will recommend you to switch to this mode once you are going to jog on the smooth road.

Brakes

I am glad that Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller has a one-pedal parking brake which can be activated with one foot easily whenever you need to stop the stroller. It doesn’t require any special force and is quite friendly for different types of shoes. Yet, I would be even more happy if this stroller included a handbrake which is unfortunately a very rare element in jogging strollers even though it is really helpful whenever you are running down the hill.

Handlebar

The handlebar of Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller is covered with soft foam which is very pleasant to touch, however, is not particularly durable as it is prone to being torn.

Still, there are a couple of great features of the handlebar of Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller.

First of all, it is adjustable. There is no advanced telescopic mechanism and the handlebar is adjusted by rotation, yet, you can choose from several heights which makes it easier to customise the stroller according to your needs.

In addition to it, Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller happens to be one of the highest strollers available on the market. You will be able to set the height of this stroller between 39 and 45 inches. Actually, the highest position of the handlebar of this stroller is a very rare feature and you will hardly find a jogging stroller with such a high handlebar. Undeniably, it is perfect for high parents. At the same time, shorter parents will be able to set the handlebar to lower levels.

Canopy

Needless to say, a good canopy is an essential part of any stroller and especially of a jogging one. extra protection is absolutely needed while you are planning to spend an entire day outside in the wilderness with your child.

The canopy of Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller is particularly large. You can unfold its hidden part which is closed with a zipper up to the level of the bumper bar which means the canopy will be covering almost the entire body of your baby.

The only issue I have found in the canopy of Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller which I guess is the major issue with the entire stroller is its peek-a-boo window. On the one hand, there is such a window which is great since you need to have an opportunity to check your child easily. Yet, this window is available only when the canopy is not extended. Furthermore, there is no closure at all, so you will not be able to cover the window if there is too intense sun or your baby is sleeping. Finally, the window is made of plastic which I am not happy about since it doesn’t provide your child with an extra air flow.

Storage options

Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller has a very large basket which will fit a lot of your possessions. The design of this basket allows you to access it even if the seat is completely reclined. In such a case you can get your items out of the basket from the side of the stroller.

There is also an additional storage option which is a parent organiser made of fabric. This one has two cup holders and a pocket for small possessions in the middle.

Additional elements for safety

As I have already mentioned, Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller has an extremely large canopy and a five-point harness which are designed for making your baby safe during the strolls.

Apart from these features, the jogger is also equipped into reflective parts which are necessary for secured strolls under the conditions when there is no enough light. Furthermore, this stroller has a very smartly designed wrist tether. Unlike the majority of strollers, including the most expensive ones, Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller has this element attached to the rear axle rather than to the handlebar.

This is a better solution than a typical wrist strap fixed on the handle since such a strap can turn out to be dangerous in some situations mainly when you are falling down you can unintentionally pull the stroller with you making it turn over. This is not possible with such a long wrist tether which you can find in this jogging model. If you fall down while jogging with Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller, it will just stop by the tether instead of turning over.

Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller colour versions

Chicco Activ3 Air is one of the Chicco’s strollers of Q Collection. This is a special series of strollers made of particularly durable and stylish material knitted in such a way as it provides your baby with an air flow making the ride cooler. The colours of these strollers including Chicco Activ3 Air are black and grey. The silver elements added to the design of these products make them even more stylish and, at the same time, provide reflection which is an additional safety measure I have already described in the previous part of my review.

Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller – accessories

As you have already learnt, the stroller comes with a parent tray which is built-in. Thus, you do not have to purchase this item separately. A bumper bar is also included into the price.

Fortunately, the manufacturer has added a rain cover to the set. In case of the majority of strollers of various types, this item has to be purchased separately, however, Chicco Activ3 Air comes with such a cover.

When it comes to the adapters for a travel system, you do not have to pay for them, since the stroller is compatible with the Chicco’s infant car seats which can be attached to the frame directly.

Pros and cons of Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller

Chicco Activ3 Air is one of my favourite models of affordable jogging strollers because of a range of great features it includes. Of course, there are also some negative sides of this stroller which also should be highlighted. For the sake of the comfort, I have created two lists of advantages and disadvantages of this stroller, so as you will be able to understand its quality better.

Pros:

• an affordable price;
• convertible into a travel system without a need to purchase any adapters;
• a large seat which is comfortable for high children;
• large wheels covered with a special rubber material great for absorbing shocks and resistant to damages;
• a swivelling mechanism with a lock in the front wheel;
• suspension adjustable to the type of a terrain;
• plenty of storage space including a large basket with easy access and a parent tray;
• a rain cover included into the price;
• a super large extendable canopy;
• an adjustable handlebar which can be set to a particularly high level in comparison to other strollers available on the market;
• a number of safety features including a five-point harness, reflective parts and a wrist tether attached to the rear axle which makes its usage safer than in the case of wrist straps located on the handlebar.

Cons:

• a peek-a-boo window lacks cover and it is not available once you unfold the canopy;
• a peek-a-boo window doesn’t provide a child with fresh air since it is made of plastic.

Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller – my conclusions

As you can see, Chicco Activ3 Air is an amazing product available for a reasonable price. Actually, it will provide you with anything you and your baby might need for a great ride. whether you are going to explore natural sights together or you are willing to enjoy some active time together, this will be possible with Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller.

This stroller has been designed for comfort and safety and besides standard elements which can be found in many other strollers, it is also featured by unique characteristics which makes this stroller worth purchase.

Mainly, I mean a special wrist tether attached to the rear axle which is a way more safer than regular wrist straps fixed to the strollers’ handlebars. This one will keep your baby safe if it happens that you fall down.

Another exclusive feature of this stroller is an adjustable suspension system. I am sure you have heard about the suspension systems adjustable to the weight of children which are available in some more expensive models of joggers. Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller is equipped into a different type of an adjustable suspension system which can be customised according to the type of terrain you are going over.

Furthermore, pay your attention to the fact this stroller has a special locking system for the swivelling mechanism in its front wheel. Due to this system, you will be able to lock the wheel on the go which is quite a rare feature for strollers.

Finally, if you are a particularly high person and experience a real trouble searching for a convenient stroller, Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller is exactly the model you need since it has a very high handlebar. Still, short parents can also use it since the handlebar can be adjusted to a different height as well.

The only issue of concern related to this stroller is the design of its peek-a-boo window which is not particularly successful. Yet, taking into consideration all of the positive sides of this stroller, I find it not a serious disadvantage which definitely will not spoil the experience you are going to have while jogging with your child.
